Tax Day Tradition

Well, its that time of year again. And as always, Big Al procrastinates giving the government our money any sooner than he absolutely has to! Actually, this year, he was a little more on top of it. He picked up the forms at the beginning of April and on Sunday night he began sorting the receipts and paperwork - a very early start for him! Now, here we are: Wednesday, April 15, 1:30 pm and he is off to the post office to mail our federal and state income taxes. Yippee - he made it well before midnight.

Enough about taxes. It depresses me. I really wish we had been able to attend one of the local TEA parties today, but it was too far to downtown Chicago or Rockford and I would have to be back in time to pick up the kids.
Here is what I really want to see - Daffodils and Crocus! We are finally starting a warming trend here - 60s at least.

  1. This is funny (about the taxes). And in the usual Hydorn form, we get ours done around Valentine's Day every year, and have our chunk of change back to us by the middle of March! Love all of the blooming things. I planted tons of tulips this fall, and the first ones are just about ready to open! I can't wait!
